Mayor Rocío Adame of Playas de Rosarito Supports Modernization of Adolfo López Mateos School

The mayor of Rosarito presented a new metal roof to Adolfo López Mateos Primary School.

Rocío Adame Muñoz, the Mayor of Playas de Rosarito, delivered a modern metal roof to "Adolfo López Mateos" Elementary School (known as "Plan de Ayala" Elementary School during the afternoon shift) in Colonia Plan Libertador.

With an investment of 2,680,000 pesos from the Social Infrastructure Fund (Ramo 33), this project will directly benefit more than 800 students and teachers.

At an exciting event attended by children, parents, and teachers, Mayor Rocío Adame emphasized that this new infrastructure marks a significant step forward in her administration’s commitment to providing safe and adequate educational spaces.

"Our student community can now enjoy a safer and more comfortable space to learn, play, and grow. This new metal roof will protect students from the sun and provide a space for more recreational and sports activities, which will, in turn, promote a healthy lifestyle," Mayor Adame Muñoz explained.

The mayor emphasized the importance of investing in education as a cornerstone of Rosarito’s development. "We are convinced that our children are the future of our city, and that’s why we work tirelessly to provide them with the best tools to help them achieve their dreams," she said.

She also thanked parents for their dedication and active participation in the community, noting that their efforts and tax contributions are transforming the city.

Representing the students, Josué Adrián Muñoz Villanueva expressed gratitude to Mayor Adame and authorities for the project, which will benefit the entire school community. "Now we can enjoy a better space for our outdoor activities," he said.

The event was also attended by Jessica Zavala Sámano, Delegate of the Secretariat of Education in Playas de Rosarito; Ilsee Rodríguez Ramos, Rosarito's Secretary of Social Well-Being; Hugo Adrián Hernández Chávez, Director of Prodeur; Salvador Burgueño Zaragoza, the School Principal; and Cinthya Janeth Rubio Martínez, the Parent Representative.
